A record of a delinquent account remains on your credit report for six years, as per the legal statute of limitations. Even if the debt is “Paid in Full,” the record will still appear for that duration.
Can I make payments on my debt?
Yes. Our longest payment plan is three (3) months. Please contact us directly at info@kccollect.com to set up a payment plan.
After I pay, can I get reconnected with Eastlink?
As a third-party collection agency, we do not have access to your specific account details. You will need to contact Eastlink directly to discuss reconnection or account reinstatement.
How do I have a debt removed that was fraud?
If you believe a debt is the result of fraud or identity theft, you must:
File a report with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).
The RCMP will investigate and work with our client to determine if the claim qualifies as fraud.
Once the investigation confirms fraud, the debt can be removed.
